City Council of Columbus is the legislative body of the local government. It also serves as the city’s parliament, representing the residents of Columbus and making decisions on key citywide issues. The council consists of 25 members elected by city residents through direct elections for a four-year term, with members forming parliamentary groups. Borough mayors may also serve as council members, but the Mayor is not included.
